They are an important feature in improving public health, maintaining human dignity and preserving the world’s environment through low cost and efficient systems. And today, are more appreciated and valued as an important feature of many outdoor activities, world over.
SEPTIC TANKS
We offer Professional Evacuation and Cleaning of Septic Tanks commonly referred to as Exhauster Service. Septic Tanks should be maintained by routine evacuation and cleaning. This ensures that sludge does not accumulate in a system enabling it to work efficiently all the time. Households that have more members or use a lot of water will require cleaning more often. For example, once in three months. The Septic tanks consists of a septic tank and absorption area.
The purpose of the septic tank is to collect water coming from the household (bath water, laundry, toilet waste, etc.) Solid waste settle to the bottom while scum and grease rises to the top of the tank. Between the two areas of solid waste is liquid, which is allowed to pass through the baffles ( pipes) into the absorption area. Bacteria from the septic tank and from materials entering the septic tank work to break down the scum and organic matter. Inorganic matte and hard to decompose material remain as sludge at the bottom of the tank By cleaning the septic tank regularly, and being careful about what is put into it, a system will work well for many years as long as it is properly installed.
In Kenya, due to high usage of water for bathing, washing and toilet habits, the septic tank may have to be cleaned /evacuated often. We recommend a cleaning session every three months. When a septic tank is not cleaned at the proper intervals, the sludge layer increases, filling the tank, it may then overflow into the absorption field clogging it and causing system failure. There is no additive that will clear this sludge-logging and can only be prevented by thorough, regular septic tank cleaning. It is cheaper to have regular maintenance through evacuation than lots of money on repairs.
